SKIN CARE CENTER

Our Licensed Aesthetician, Dianne, is available to assist you in developing a sensible and effective approach to skin care. She works in conjunction with Dr. Connors to provide pre- and post-procedure skin analysis and follow-up skin care. She is also available for a personal skin evaluations and a variety of skin care therapies.

Dianne has worked with Dr. Connors for a decade and together stays current with all the latest in plastic surgery and skin care therapies through seminars and training sessions. She is a member of the Plastic Surgery Society for Skin Care Specialists. The SPSSCS is a voluntary, non-profit organization dedicated to the promotions of education, enhancement of clinical skills and the delivery of safe, quality skin care provided to patients within the office of a Plastic Surgeon. Dianne is a graduate of Elizabeth Grady School of Aesthetics. In addition to providing skin care evaluations and therapies, she is also experienced in Medical Microdermabrasion and Chemicals Peels. Dianne is currently attending massage therapy school to add to her scope of practice.

The Biomedic Micropeel® Plus

The Micropeel® Plus is a fifteen minute in office procedure. Salicylic Acid, a beta hydroxy acid, is found naturally in willow bark, winter green leaves, and sweet birch bark. Forumlations containing high concentrations of salicylic acid help to slough off dead cells and debris while stimulating the skin's natural renewal process. The peel is designed to refine skin texture damage by environmental factors.

Obagi Nu-Derm System- An aggressive, Retin-A based skin care system.
As you age and your skin incurs the abuse of daily living (such as sun, stress, pollution), the cell turnover rate slows down. This means that the new cells take longer to form and reach the top. The old cells accumulate and stay on the surface longer. As the stratum corneum thickens and the area of new cells shrink, skin becomes less healthy. M.D. Forte' - A moderate, Glycolic Acid based program:
A comprehensive alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) skin care system. Only M.D. FORTÉ® products offer the scientific advantage of combining glycolic acid (an AHA naturally found in sugar cane) with the process of partial neutralization. This allows us to create products with significantly higher concentrations of glycolic acid plus a pH closer to that of normal skin to help minimize irritation.
